parade-bannerThe mission of Homies Unidos Denver is to end violence and promote peace in our community through gang prevention and intervention, the promotion of human rights in immigrant communities, and the empowerment of youth and families in Denver to achieve their full potential in a just, safe, and healthy society.

Homies Unidos first began its work in Los Angeles in 1997. An independent chapter of Homies Unidos was established in Denver in 2015. Homies Unidos Denver leverages the expertise and resources of Homies Unidos nationally, but customizes its programs and services to meet the unique needs of youth in Denver. Homies Unidos has been a catalyst for change empowerment of youth through positive alternatives to gang involvement and destructive behavior. We are living proof that prevention works and that peace is possible. In a typical year, Homies Unidos Denver serves 150-200 youth across the city.
